Two IAS officers currently serving on central deputation will be repatriated to their respective cadres. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Mr. VK Singh and M Maheshwar Rao of Punjab cadre. Mr. Singh is currently serving as Secretary, Ex-Servicemen Welfare Department while Mr. Rao is Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Department of Space.
VK SINGH LIKELY TO BE POSTED IN CMO
Mr. Singh is a 1990-batch Indian Administrative Service officer and is likely to be appointed as the Special Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. After the retirement of A Venu Prasad, who was Additional Chief Secretary to CM, the post has been vacant. Mr. Singh is three years senior to the current Chief Secretary Anurag Verma, who is a 1993-batch IAS officer.
