The Union government has officially notified the appointment of two Additional Judges as Permanent Judges of the Gauhati High Court. The announcement was made on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Justice Kardak Ete and Mridul Kumar Kalita, both serving as Additional Judges, have been elevated to the position of Permanent Judges at the Gauhati High Court. This follows the approval of their appointments by the Supreme Court Collegium, which had endorsed the proposal on January 7, 2025.
