Mr. Unmesh Sharad Wagh, currently serving as the Deputy Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, has been granted an extension to his additional charge as Chairperson (JS level) of the same authority. This extension will last for six months, starting from July 3, 2024. Wagh, a 2002 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Services (IRS), has also held positions as the Deputy Chairman at India’s largest state-owned container gateway in Nhava Sheva near Mumbai, and as the Commissioner of Customs (Port) in Kolkata.
