The Uttar Pradesh government has executed a major reshuffle, transferring five IAS officers in response to internal disputes and administrative needs.

1996 batch senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary, Mr M. Devraj has been removed from his post amid dissatisfaction from Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel. Mr Devraj has been reassigned as Principal Secretary of the Department of Appointment & Personnel, a crucial administrative role.

1989 batch IAS officer Monica S. Garg has been appointed as the additional Agriculture Production Commissioner, while Devesh Chaturvedi, also an IAS officer of 1989 batch and previously the Additional Chief Secretary of multiple departments, has been relieved to join the Government of India as Agriculture Secretary.

1999 batch IAS officer Ravindra Kumar has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department, replacing his role as Principal Secretary of Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry.

K. Ravindra Nayak, an IAS officer of 1995 batch, has been made Principal Secretary of Dairy Development and Secretariat Administration.

1994 batch IAS officer Leena Johri will now oversee the AYUSH Department as well as Women Welfare and Child Development Nutrition, and 1993 batch IAS officer Alok Kumar (II) will take on the additional role of Principal Secretary of Technical and Vocational Education.

Notably, despite speculation, there have been no changes in the departments of Deputy CMs Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak. Maurya oversees Rural Development and related portfolios, while Pathak manages Medical Education and Health.
