Akhilesh Kumar, a 2005-batch IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Currently serving as the Inspector General (IG) in the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), Kumar is regarded as one of the most dynamic officers in the police service.
