Why It Matters
The latest round of administrative reshuffling reflects the Yogi Adityanath-led government’s efforts to revamp law and order and strengthen governance efficiency at the grassroots level. By moving key officers in civil and police services, the government aims to streamline operations ahead of the festive season and upcoming local body elections in some districts.
