Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh led by Yogi Adityanath carried out a fresh administrative reshuffle on Sunday, transferring nine IAS officers and assigning additional responsibilities across several important departments.
The latest transfer list includes several senior officers handling major administrative portfolios, while two IAS officers who were awaiting posting have now been assigned fresh responsibilities. One of them, Soumya Gururani, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Shahjahanpur Municipal Corporation.
The reshuffle is being viewed as part of the government’s continuing effort to streamline administrative functioning across departments including IT, social welfare, rural development, agriculture, health, and urban administration.
M. Devraj Given Additional Charge of Training Academy
M. Devraj, currently serving as Principal Secretary, Appointments and Personnel Department, has been entrusted with an additional responsibility.
He will now also hold charge as Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management, the key institution responsible for training administrative officers in the state.
This move places one of the state’s most important personnel administration officers in charge of officer training and institutional management as well.
Anurag Yadav Shifted from IT to Social Welfare Department
Senior IAS officer Anurag Yadav has been transferred from the IT and Electronics Department and appointed as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare and Sainik Welfare Department.
The shift is significant because the Social Welfare Department oversees multiple large-scale welfare schemes targeting weaker sections, pension programmes, and support for ex-servicemen.
Alok Kumar III Gets Additional Charge of IT and Electronics Department
Alok Kumar III, who currently serves as Principal Secretary, Planning and Programme Implementation Department, has been given additional charge of the IT and Electronics Department.
He is also serving as the nodal officer for Uttar Pradesh’s ambitious ‘One Trillion Dollar Economy and Zero Poverty’ campaign.
The additional assignment gives him an expanded role in digital governance and technology-led administrative initiatives.
Saurabh Babu Assigned Additional Rural Development Institute Responsibility
Saurabh Babu, currently Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Rural Engineering Services Department, has been assigned additional charge as Director General of the Deendayal Upadhyay State Institute of Rural Development.
This institute plays a crucial role in capacity building, policy implementation, and rural governance training across the state.
Ravi Ranjan Shifted to Health Department
Ravi Ranjan, who was serving as Managing Director of UP Electronics Corporation and UP Agro, has now been transferred as Special Secretary in the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department.
His movement to the health department comes at a time when the state continues expanding public health administration and institutional delivery systems.
T.K. Shibu Given Additional Charge of UP Agro
T.K. Shibu, presently Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, has been given additional responsibility as Managing Director of UP Agro.
UP Agro plays an important role in agricultural infrastructure, agro-processing promotion, and state-linked agricultural initiatives.
Himanshu Kaushik Gets First Posting After Awaiting Appointment
IAS officer Himanshu Kaushik, who was previously awaiting appointment, has now been posted as Managing Director of UP Electronics Corporation.
His appointment fills an important vacancy in one of the state’s major public sector technology-linked corporations.
Saumya Gururani Appointed Municipal Commissioner of Shahjahanpur
IAS officer Saumya Gururani, also awaiting posting until now, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Shahjahanpur Municipal Corporation.
Her posting is among the most noted appointments in the current transfer list, as urban governance remains a major focus area for the state government.
Dr. Bipin Kumar Mishra Shifted to UPSRTC
Dr. Bipin Kumar Mishra, who was serving as Municipal Commissioner of Shahjahanpur, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is currently undergoing operational strengthening, making this posting administratively important.
