The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday carried out a minor administrative reshuffle involving several senior IAS officers, with important changes at the district collector level and across key state departments.

As part of the transfer orders issued with immediate effect, Sagili Shan Mohan, who had been serving as Collector of Kakinada district, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB).

He replaces C.M. Saikanth Varma, who has now been posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Guntur district.

The reshuffle also affects administration in four districts, along with new appointments in school education and industrial infrastructure.

Shan Mohan Moves to Economic Development Board

Sagili Shan Mohan’s appointment to the economic development board is being seen as an important move because the APEDB plays a critical role in attracting investments, coordinating industrial policy and supporting economic planning in the state.

Muttimbaku Abhishikth Kishore, who was serving as MD of APIIC, has been posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Visakhapatnam.

This completes the administrative cycle created by Shan Mohan’s movement to APEDB.

Nishanti T Posted as Collector of Alluri Sitharama Raju District

T. Nishanti, who was serving as Joint Collector of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, has been promoted and posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Alluri Sitharama Raju district.

Her appointment fills the vacancy created by Dinesh Kumar’s transfer.

Konaseema Joint Collector Arrangement Ordered

The state government also directed that the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Collectorate should make interim arrangements for handling responsibilities related to the post of Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate.
