In the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh, a significant number of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers are set to be promoted in the upcoming New Year. The UP Police has announced a series of key promotions within the IPS ranks, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of officers from various batches.
Officers from the 2012 batch have been granted the prestigious Selection Grade, marking a significant milestone in their careers. This promotion reflects their exemplary service and continued commitment to law enforcement.

Additionally, an officer from the 2011 batch has been elevated to the esteemed rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), showcasing the officer’s outstanding leadership qualities and contributions to the police force.
In another remarkable move, an officer from the 2007 batch has been promoted to Inspector General (IG), a highly respected position within the IPS, highlighting years of excellence in service and dedication to maintaining law and order in the state.
The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) has also conducted evaluations for the Director General (DG) post, covering officers up to the 1993 batch. Promotions to this top position will be granted as per the available vacancies.
These promotions reflect the state’s ongoing commitment to recognizing and rewarding the efforts of its police officers, ensuring that the Uttar Pradesh Police force continues to evolve with capable leaders at its helm.
