UPSC Releases 2025 Civil Services Interview Schedule: Key Do’s and Don’ts for Aspirants Ahead of Personality Tests

UPSC releases the 2025 Civil Services Personality Test schedule with detailed guidelines, dos and don’ts for candidates to ensure smooth preparation

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the Personality Test schedule for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025. This follows the declaration of the Main examination results on November 11, 2025. The interviews will commence from Monday, December 8, 2025, and continue until Friday, December 19, 2025, marking a crucial phase in the selection of future civil servants. Candidates can access the official schedule at upsc.gov.in.

First Batch of Candidates: Reporting Details and Schedule

The initial batch includes 649 candidates, whose roll numbers, interview dates, and session details have been released. Forenoon sessions will begin at 0900 hours, while afternoon sessions are scheduled at 1300 hours. UPSC has emphasized strict adherence to the schedule, stating that no requests for date or time changes will ordinarily be entertained.

e-Summon Letters and Official Guidelines

Candidates are required to download their e-Summon Letters from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.gov.in. A printed hard copy of the summon letter is mandatory for verification during the interview. The personality test schedule for remaining candidates will be released at a later date. UPSC has also clarified that travel reimbursement will be provided for Second/Sleeper class train travel only.

Steps to Download the UPSC Interview Schedule 2025

  1. Visit the official UPSC website upsc.gov.in.
  2. Click on the “UPSC Civil Services 2025 Interview Schedule” link on the homepage.
  3. A PDF containing the complete schedule will open.
  4. Check your roll number, date, and session.
  5. Download and save a copy for future reference.
  6. Keep a printed copy to carry to the interview venue.

Dos and Don’ts for UPSC Personality Test 2025

The Personality Test evaluates analytical ability, clarity of thought, and suitability for civil services. UPSC emphasizes strict adherence to protocol and professional conduct.

Dos:

  • Arrive on time for the allocated session.
  • Carry all required documents, including e-Summon letter and photo ID.
  • Dress in formal attire reflecting professionalism.
  • Maintain a polite and confident demeanor.
  • Prepare for questions on current affairs, optional subjects, and personal background.

Don’ts:

  • Do not request changes in the allotted date or session.
  • Avoid speculative or rehearsed answers; authenticity is valued.
  • Do not bring electronic devices into the interview hall.
  • Avoid argumentative or overconfident behavior.
  • Follow all instructions given by UPSC officials regarding conduct and seating.
