The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a consolidated reserve list for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), 2024, recommending 35 additional candidates for appointment under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
This follows the earlier declaration of the final result of ESE-2024 on November 22, 2024, which included 206 candidates selected in order of merit. Subsequently, three more candidates were recommended by the Commission against vacancies that were previously withheld during the final result.
35 Additional Recommendations under Department of Telecommunications
According to a press note issued by UPSC, the Commission has now acted in accordance with Rule 13(iv) and Rule 13(v) of the Engineering Services Examination, 2024 Rules, which allow for maintaining a consolidated Reserve List. Based on the requisition placed by the Department of Telecommunications, the UPSC has recommended 35 candidates from the reserve list to fill the remaining vacancies.
The distribution of the 35 candidates is as follows:
- 20 candidates from the Unreserved category
- 13 candidates from Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- 2 candidates from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
The Department of Telecommunications will directly communicate with these recommended candidates regarding their appointment formalities.
Three Candidatures Provisional
The Commission also clarified that the candidature of the following three individuals has been marked as provisional:
- 0202438
- 0503707
- 0504240
Their offer of appointment will be withheld until verification of their original documents is completed. The provisional status is valid for three months from the date of declaration of the reserve list. If the candidates fail to submit the required documents within this time frame, their candidature will be cancelled, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
