The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that it will open a three-day “Correction Window” as a one-time measure for candidates who have applied for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025 and the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025. This initiative aims to allow aspirants to rectify any errors made in their application forms.
The correction facility will enable applicants to modify details submitted in both the Common Application Form (CAF) and the Examination Application Form. The provision is being introduced in light of reports that several candidates inadvertently submitted incorrect information or documents during the application process.
Dr Ajay Kumar, Chairman, UPSC, stated, “The online portal provides repeated checks before the final submission of any application form. Despite that, it appears that some mistakes have been made by applicants, particularly as they are using the new portal for the first time. UPSC is therefore extending this correction opportunity as a one-time measure.”
The Correction Window will be available for three days, with dates to be announced soon on the official UPSC website https://upsconline.nic.in. The technical module to support this feature is currently being developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and will be activated once fully tested.
The UPSC’s revamped Online Application Portal, launched on May 28, 2025, has replaced the previous One Time Registration (OTR) system. It comprises four modules: Account Creation, Universal Registration, Common Application Form, and Examinations, the last of which is specific to each exam.
Applications for CDS Examination-II, 2025 and NDA & NA Examination-II, 2025, both notified on May 28, were the first to be processed via the new portal.
Candidates interested in availing the correction window are advised to monitor the UPSC website regularly for official updates regarding the correction schedule and detailed instructions.
