The amount includes both monthly pension payments and arrears for eligible beneficiaries, providing financial support ahead of the Holi festival.
One-Click Pension Transfer Brings Relief to Millions
The distribution was carried out through a one-click digital system, ensuring transparency, speed, and direct transfer to beneficiaries’ accounts. Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that social security is not just an administrative function but a reflection of the government’s sensitivity and commitment to inclusive development.
He instructed the Social Welfare Department to ensure timely and prioritized settlement of pension cases so that no eligible person, even in remote or difficult-to-reach areas, is left out of welfare schemes.

Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar Campaign Boosts Beneficiary Reach
CM Dhami highlighted that the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign played a key role in increasing the number of beneficiaries. Camps organized across the state enabled the administration to reach individuals who were previously unaware or physically unable to access pension schemes.
He directed that such special campaigns continue, especially in hilly and remote areas, to ensure benefits reach the last person in the queue.
Focus on Technology and Transparency
The Chief Minister stressed adopting innovative and technology-driven solutions to make pension processes more transparent, simple, and time-bound. Discussions in the administrative meeting with Secretary Sridhar Babu, Additional Secretary Sandeep Tiwari, Sanjay Tolia, and senior officials focused on:
- Strengthening Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to eliminate corruption
- Providing alternative mechanisms where banking networks are weak
- Implementing a paperless and doorstep delivery model for government services
These measures aim to ensure that welfare schemes are efficient, accessible, and inclusive, enhancing both beneficiary satisfaction and the local economy.
Government’s Vision for Inclusive Social Security
CM Dhami reiterated that social security schemes are not only financial support but a reflection of the government’s commitment to dignity, inclusivity, and equitable development. The ₹141.91 crore disbursed will help millions of elderly, widows, differently-abled, and farmers maintain a respectable standard of living while contributing to the state’s economic flow.
