Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has intervened to facilitate medical treatment for an eight-year-old boy suffering from a health condition since childhood, following an interaction with the child’s father at a food stall in Lohiahead.
After learning about the child’s condition, Dhami directed the district administration to ensure necessary medical assistance. Following his instructions, a team of officials and doctors visited the boy’s residence to assess his condition and review his previous treatment records.
District Officials Visit Child’s Home
Udham Singh Nagar District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Chief Medical Officer Dr SK Goswami, a team of doctors, Chief Development Officer Divesh Shasani and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tushar Saini visited the child’s home.
The child, identified as Dev, has reportedly been undergoing treatment since birth, including treatment at Indresh Hospital in Dehradun. Doctors examined him and reviewed his medical history and earlier treatment records.
Doctors Recommend MRI Scan
Following the medical assessment, orthopaedic specialist Dr HS Airi and the Chief Medical Officer recommended an MRI scan as the next step.
The scan is intended to help doctors assess the child’s condition before deciding on further treatment.
Immediate assistance arranged by administration:
- Officials directed arrangements for the child’s MRI scan.
- A vehicle will be provided to transport the child and his parents to the district hospital.
- Doctors reviewed the child’s previous medical records and treatment history.
- Further treatment will be decided after the MRI assessment.
CM Learns About Child During Lohiahead Visit
Dhami had visited a local food stall in Lohiahead on Sunday, where he interacted with the child’s father, Ravi Sharma.
During the conversation, Sharma informed the Chief Minister about his son’s longstanding health condition and the treatment he had undergone since birth.
The Chief Minister subsequently directed the administration to facilitate medical assistance for the child.
Administration Assures Further Support
The District Magistrate directed officials to arrange transportation and necessary assistance for the child and his parents.
The administration has assured the family that efforts will be made to facilitate the child’s treatment following the medical assessment.
The next course of treatment will be determined after the MRI scan and further evaluation by doctors.
