Dehradun: The 45-day statewide outreach initiative ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has concluded with remarkable achievements. Launched in December on the Chief Minister’s directive, the special campaign continued until February 20 with the aim of delivering government services and welfare schemes directly to citizens at their doorstep.

The initiative is being seen as a major step toward strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring last-mile delivery of public services across Uttarakhand.

681 Camps Organized Across the State

During the campaign period:

  • 681 public grievance redressal camps were organized across various districts.
  • 5,33,452 citizens directly participated in the camps.
  • On the final day alone, 11 camps were held with participation of 8,209 people.

The large turnout transformed the initiative into a mass public movement, reflecting strong public trust in the administration.

Over 33,000 Complaints Resolved on the Spot

The campaign focused heavily on grievance redressal and service delivery.

Key Outcomes:

  • 51,053 complaints were registered.
  • 33,755 complaints were resolved on the spot.
  • Remaining cases are under active follow-up.
  • 74,184 applications received for various certificates.
  • Nearly 3 lakh citizens directly benefited from different government services.

Officials from departments such as Revenue, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Urban Development, and other key sectors actively participated in the camps to ensure immediate resolution wherever possible.

Government Services Delivered at Doorstep

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had clearly instructed that citizens should not be forced to visit government offices repeatedly for problem resolution. Instead, the administration was directed to reach people at their doorstep.

Officers were required to remain present at the camps and address grievances in real time, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Strengthening Public Trust and Good Governance

The successful implementation of the ‘Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign is being regarded as a significant governance reform in Uttarakhand. The initiative not only provided timely relief to citizens but also strengthened trust between the public and the administration.

Participation from both rural and urban areas highlighted the widespread impact of the program.

Grievance Redressal Beyond the Campaign

Although the 45-day campaign has formally concluded, the state government has clarified that grievance redressal efforts will continue. Officials have been instructed to remain proactive and ensure swift disposal of pending complaints.

The government emphasized that beyond announcing schemes, effective implementation and last-mile service delivery will remain its top priority to ensure that governance reaches every citizen of Uttarakhand.
