In response to allegations of malpractice in the UKSSSC Graduate-Level Examination 2025, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a strong appeal to the youth of the state. Urging aspirants to be cautious, Mr. Dhami warned against being misled by individuals or groups trying to manipulate student sentiments for personal or political gain.
“Our government has made over 25,000 appointments transparently and without corruption. The same commitment will guide us forward,” Mr. Dhami said, reaffirming the administration’s dedication to merit-based recruitment.
Special Investigation Team Formed for In-Depth Inquiry
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the examination-related irregularities. The five-member SIT, formed on September 24, will conduct a thorough investigation to identify individuals or groups responsible for any wrongdoing in the recruitment process.
The SIT will be headed by Mrs. Jaya Baluni, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Dehradun. She will oversee fact-finding efforts across districts, ensuring that the investigation is detailed, fair, and evidence-driven.
Judicial Supervision to Ensure Transparency
In a landmark step toward maintaining public trust, the state government has appointed Retired Justice B.S. Verma, former Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, to supervise the SIT investigation. His role will include monitoring the entire investigation process, reviewing complaints, and providing direction to the SIT when necessary.
An official memorandum issued by Home Secretary Mr. Shailash Bagoli confirms that Justice Verma has the authority to visit various districts, hold hearings, and take proactive steps to uphold transparency and justice.
CM Criticizes Misuse of Student Movements for Political Gains
Mr. Dhami condemned attempts to politicize the issue under the pretext of student protests. He emphasized that the government’s sole priority is the welfare and future of youth. “It is unfortunate that some people are targeting the government by using students as a cover,” he said.
He assured that the government’s focus remains on delivering justice, protecting student interests, and ensuring that no deserving candidate suffers due to the misconduct of a few.
A Commitment to Clean and Transparent Recruitment
The UKSSSC case has drawn significant public attention, but the swift formation of an SIT, along with judicial oversight, has positioned the Uttarakhand government as actively responsive and transparent. With over 25,000 corruption-free appointments already made under Mr. Dhami’s leadership, the administration aims to maintain this integrity in all future recruitment drives.
