New Delhi: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Mr. V. Packirisamy for the post of Director (Commercial) at Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), a Maharatna CPSE under the Government of India. The recommendation is now pending approval from the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Current Post Held by Mr. Manoj Sharma
The position of Director (Commercial) is presently held by Mr. Manoj Sharma, a Chartered Accountant and Law graduate, who has been serving since August 2022. His tenure is expected to conclude in 2026, paving the way for the new appointment.

Selection Process and Panel of Applicants
Around 10 applicants from various government organizations were interviewed for the prestigious role. The candidates included:

- Mr. Hemant Kumar Das – Executive Director (Projects), PFC
- Mr. Pawan Kumar – Executive Director & Chief Compliance Officer, PFC
- Mr. Saurabh Rastogi – Executive Director & CEO, REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd
- Ms. Jasneet Guram – Executive Director, PFC
- Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma – Executive Director (Finance), Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd
- Ms. Ragini Advani – Director (Finance), Ircon International Ltd
- Mr. Pravin Dongre – Executive Director (SDNZ&HSE), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd
- Mr. V. Packirisamy – Executive Director (Entity Appraisal & IT), PFC
After a rigorous interview and evaluation process, Mr. V. Packirisamy emerged as the recommended candidate for the role, bringing extensive experience in entity appraisal, IT systems, and financial management at PFC.
