Vineet Joshi Takes Charge as Secretary, Department of Higher Education

Prior to this, he served as the Chief Secretary of Manipur.

Vineet Joshi, a 1992 batch IAS officer from the Manipur cadre, has assumed the role of Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Secretary of Manipur.

An alumnus of IIT Kanpur with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, Joshi brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Known for his professionalism, he has contributed to numerous research papers and training modules throughout his career.

Joshi’s extensive experience in the education sector includes leadership roles such as Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
