New Delhi— WAPCOS Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has signed a significant agreement with AT2ER (Agence Togolaise d’Electrification Rurale et des Énergies Renouvelables) to develop a 25 MWp solar power plant equipped with a 36 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Dapaong, Togo.
Project Overview and Objectives
Funded by the World Bank, the project aims to enhance rural electrification across 61 underserved localities in Togo. The solar power plant will deliver clean, reliable, and sustainable energy, playing a vital role in helping Togo achieve its renewable energy goals and improving access to electricity in remote areas.
