New Delhi: WAPCOS Limited, a central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry for the financial year 2025–26. The agreement reaffirms WAPCOS’ commitment to delivering excellence, driving sustainability, and supporting India’s developmental goals across critical sectors.
Senior Leadership Present at Signing Ceremony
The MoU was signed on August 20, 2025, by Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and R. K. Agrawal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, WAPCOS.
The ceremony was attended by Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Joint Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, along with Amitabh Tripathi, Director (Commercial and HRD), WAPCOS, and senior officers from both the Ministry and the enterprise.
Strengthening Commitments to Growth and Sustainability
The MoU underscores WAPCOS’ dedication to nation-building and sustainable growth. By aligning with the Ministry’s vision, WAPCOS aims to contribute towards water resource management, infrastructure development, and the rejuvenation of India’s rivers.
The enterprise registered robust performance in FY 2024–25, recording improvements across four key parameters—turnover, profit after tax (PAT), new business acquisition, and order book strength. This momentum is expected to continue into FY 2025–26, with ambitious targets now formally set through the MoU.
