On June 24th, the government of West Bengal carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring several IAS officers across the state. Mr. Binod Kumar (1996 batch), presently posted as Additional Chief Electoral Officer in the state CEO office, was made Principal Secretary of State Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department.
Ms. Smaraki Mahapatra (2002 batch), also posted as Additional CEO in the state CEO office, was mandated to assume office as Secretary in the department of Mass Education Extension and Library Services. Mr. Manoj Agarwal (1990 batch), an incumbent Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of State Fire and Emergency Services department, was given additional charge of the state Forest department replacing Mr. Vivek Kumar (1990 batch), who was given the charge of the state Land and Land Reforms department in addition to his charge as ACS of Animal Resources Development department.
Dr. Krishna Gupta (1991 batch), an Incumbent ACS in the Department of Mass Education Extension and Library Services, was given the additional responsibility of state Co-operation department.
