Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government on Wednesday transferred several senior IAS officers. Vivek Kumar, a 1990-batch IAS officer, currently Principal Secretary of environment department, has been appointed as head of forest dept. However, he will continue to be the chairman of West Bengal valuation Board. Arnab Roy will take charge of the environment dept.
Roshni Sen, a 1993 batch-IAS officer, has been made principal secretary of Sunderbans affairs department. Hrisdesh Mohan, an IAS officer of 1990-batch, has been appointed as principal secretary of public enterprises and industrial reconstruction department. Soma Bhattacharya has been appointed as secretary, state commission for protection of child rights.
Similarly, S Poonambalam has been appointed as executive director of WBIDC. Barnali Biswas has been appointed as secretary, consumer affairs and self-help group and self-employment departments. Randhir Kumar has been appointed as additional secretary, technical education department.
