New Delhi: The tenure of Dr. Vaidya Rajeshwari Singh, a senior Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), has been extended for another year in her international assignment with the World Health Organization (WHO).
She will continue to serve as Consultant in Digital Health and Innovation (DHI) at WHO until June 30, 2026, or until further orders, as per the latest directive.

DoPT Approves Extension Based on Ayush Ministry’s Proposal
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), in its order issued on Thursday, July 17, confirmed that the extension has been granted following approval from the competent authority. The extension was proposed by the Ministry of Ayush, under which CCRAS operates.
Dr. Singh had originally joined WHO in this role to support the global digital health agenda, particularly in integrating traditional health systems with emerging digital health tools and innovations.
Bridging Ayurveda with Global Digital Health
Dr. Rajeshwari Singh’s work at WHO is significant for aligning Ayurvedic knowledge systems with global digital health frameworks. Her tenure contributes to India’s growing leadership in traditional medicine, digital innovation, and international health diplomacy.
As a Consultant in the Digital Health and Innovation division, Dr. Singh plays a vital role in policy development, technology integration, and evidence-based digital health strategies.
