Mumbai: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the appointment of IRS officer Amit Mohan Mittal (2008 batch) as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Mumbai. His tenure is set for three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment was formalized through an official order issued on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Amit Mohan Mittal is a seasoned Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer with over 17 years of experience in government service. Prior to joining the civil services, he worked as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Gurugram, from October 2007 to August 2008.
