New Delhi: The Government of India on Wednesday issued notifications of key diplomatic appointments, announcing that Mr. Kishan Dan Dewal (IFS: 2003) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia.
Currently serving as the Ambassador of India to the Dominican Republic, Dewal has also been concurrently accredited as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Haiti, with residence in Santo Domingo.
He is expected to take up his new assignment shortly.
Official Appointment Notification
As per the notification issued by the Ministry of External Affairs:
- Mr Kishan Dan Dewal (IFS: 2003) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia.
- He will assume charge of the assignment in the near future.
In addition, Mr Dewal, who is presently India’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, has been concurrently accredited to Haiti, expanding his diplomatic responsibilities in the Caribbean region.

- Ambassador of India to the Dominican Republic (since October 2025)
- Non-Resident Ambassador of India to Haiti (concurrent charge, effective February 4, 2026)
His residence for the Haiti assignment will remain in Santo Domingo.
