At least seven IPS officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre have been transferred to Delhi from other Union Territories, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday.
The Viral ‘Lady Singham’ Moment
On December 9, 2025, during TVK chief Vijay’s first public rally after the Karur stampede, the event was held at Uppalam Expo Ground in Puducherry under strict police supervision. Attendance caps were imposed, and roadshows were banned to ensure public safety.
During the rally, TVK general secretary Bussy Anand attempted to allow additional attendees into the venue, despite the cap. Singh immediately stepped in, taking the microphone and stopping Anand mid-sentence.
She reportedly told the organizers:
“You have so many people’s blood. Forty people have died. What are you doing?”
Her firm intervention ensured that no further entry was allowed beyond the permitted limit, reinforcing crowd safety norms. The incident went viral on social media, with many hailing Singh for her courage and impartial enforcement of safety protocols.
