Tokyo, Japan: On the first day of his Japan visit, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath achieved significant progress in industrial investments. The CM signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) worth ₹11,000 crore with major Japanese companies, signaling strong investor interest in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreements span diverse sectors, including agriculture machinery, industrial machinery, water and environmental infrastructure, automotive, electronics, industrial printing, hospitality, and real estate.
Key Japanese Companies Investing in UP
Several prominent Japanese firms signed agreements during the visit:
- Kubota Corporation: Established in 1890, headquartered in Osaka, specializing in agricultural and industrial machinery, including tractors, harvesters, engines, and construction equipment. The company also focuses on water and environmental infrastructure solutions. Collaboration with Escorts Kubota Ltd. will enhance its manufacturing footprint and farm mechanization in India.
- Minda Corporation: Part of the Spark Minda Group, a leading Indian automotive component manufacturer, providing mechatronics, wiring harnesses, plastic interiors, sensors, and EV solutions.
- Japan Aviation Electronics Industry (JAE): Specialist in advanced connectors and electronic interfaces for automotive and aerospace sectors.
- Nagase & Co. Ltd.: Diversified Japanese trading and technology firm active in chemicals, advanced materials, mobility solutions, and electronics.
- Seiko Advance: Known for high-performance screen printing inks and coatings, used in automotive decals, industrial graphics, electronic panels, glass printing, and consumer appliances.
- O&O Group: Committed to hospitality and real estate investments in Uttar Pradesh.
Strengthening India-Japan Industrial Cooperation
These MOUs are expected to boost manufacturing capacity, advance industrial technology, and promote economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. The agreements mark a new phase of collaboration between India and Japan, reflecting both nations’ commitment to enhancing industrial partnerships.
