In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including the district magistrates (DMs) of Ayodhya and four other districts.
Chandra Vijay Singh, previously the DM of Sonbhadra, has been appointed the new DM of Ayodhya, replacing IAS officer Nitish Kumar. Kumar has been assigned as the Managing Director of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Badri Nath Singh, formerly the special secretary at Raj Bhavan, will take over as the new DM of Sonbhadra.
In Budaun, Nidhi Srivastav has been appointed as the new DM, replacing Manoj Kumar, who will now serve as the Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission. Divya Mittal has been made the new DM of Deoria, taking over from Akhand Pratap Singh, who will assume Mittal’s previous role in the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority.
Indra Mani Tripathi, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), has been appointed as the new DM of Auraiya. Tripathi replaces Neha Prakash, who has been designated as the Director of Training and Employment in Uttar Pradesh.
Additionally, Prathmesh Kumar, who was the special secretary to the chief minister, has been appointed as the new vice chairman of LDA.
