Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict directives to all district magistrates in the state to take immediate and firm action against illegal immigration. The Chief Minister emphasized that law and order, national security, and social harmony remain the highest priorities, and any illegal activity will not be tolerated at any level.
Identification of Illegal Immigrants Mandatory in Every District
CM Yogi Adityanath directed district administrations to identify illegal foreign nationals residing in their jurisdictions. Once identified, necessary action under the law will be initiated in every case. He stressed that no negligence should be shown in this process and that administrations must ensure strict adherence to legal procedures.
Temporary Detention Centers to Be Set Up Across the State
The Chief Minister announced that temporary detention centers will be established in every district of Uttar Pradesh. These centers will house illegal foreign nationals until their documents, identity, and other necessary details are verified. The detention will ensure proper monitoring of individuals while their cases are processed.
Deportation as per Legal Process
After completing verification and investigation, the illegal immigrants will be deported back to their home countries following the prescribed legal process and guidelines issued by the Central Government. The Chief Minister highlighted that the process will be carried out in full compliance with the law, ensuring transparency and accountability.
This move reflects the UP government’s commitment to maintaining law and order, national security, and social stability, while addressing the challenge of illegal immigration in a systematic and legally compliant manner.
