Sambhal: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of development projects and law and order in Sambhal district on Sunday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister evaluated the progress of ongoing initiatives and instructed officials to accelerate work across key sectors, emphasizing that Sambhal’s development remains a top priority for the state government.
Revival of Ancient Pilgrimage Sites and Wells
The Chief Minister directed that the first phase of development focus on the restoration of Sambhal’s ancient pilgrimage sites and wells. The district houses 68 pilgrimage sites and 19 historic wells, all of which have been identified for rapid restoration to preserve their cultural and religious significance.
Focus on Museums, Light & Sound Projects, and Tourism
In the second phase, Yogi Adityanath instructed authorities to enhance cultural tourism through the establishment of museums, light and sound shows, and other tourism-related projects. The aim is to strengthen Sambhal’s cultural identity and attract more visitors to the district.
Expedited Development of Judicial and Security Infrastructure
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of fast-tracking the establishment of a district court, jail, and PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) unit. Officials informed him that 93% of the land required for the integrated complex has already been acquired. Yogi Adityanath instructed authorities to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) promptly and expedite construction work.
Enhancement of Pilgrimage Routes and Public Facilities
Special attention was given to the 24-Kosi Parikrama route and development near key pilgrimage sites. The Chief Minister directed that land acquisition, road construction, and public facilities be prioritized to provide better amenities for devotees and tourists.
Revitalization of the Mahishmati River and Namami Gange Projects
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Mahishmati River revival project, stressing the importance of river conservation. He instructed officials to accelerate work under the Namami Gange initiative to restore rivers as vital lifelines for communities and ecosystems.
Review of Urban Development Schemes
Yogi Adityanath also evaluated the progress of several urban development initiatives, including:
- Vandan Scheme
- Chief Minister Global Urban Development Scheme
- Cremation Ground Development Scheme
- Urban Water Development Scheme
- Lake/Pond/Talab Renovation Projects
- Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Urban Development Scheme
The Chief Minister instructed authorities to ensure the timely completion of these projects to improve urban infrastructure and quality of life in Sambhal.
Acceleration of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Plant Construction
In addition, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to speed up the construction of a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant. This initiative is aimed at promoting clean energy, efficient waste management, and sustainable development in the district.
Through this comprehensive review, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated the government’s commitment to fast-tracking Sambhal’s development, preserving its cultural heritage, improving public infrastructure, and ensuring effective law and order.
