Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting with Simon Wong, Singapore’s High Commissioner to India, at his official residence in Lucknow on Thursday.
Sharing details on X, the Chief Minister described the interaction as productive, highlighting discussions on boosting collaboration between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including:

250 Green Vehicles Flagged Off for Waste Management
A day earlier, CM Yogi flagged off 250 electric and CNG-powered vehicles for the Lucknow Municipal Corporation to improve waste management systems in Lucknow.
The initiative is part of the state government’s push toward eco-friendly and efficient urban services.
Lucknow’s Transformation in the Last 9 Years
Highlighting the city’s progress, the Chief Minister said Lucknow has witnessed significant development over the past nine years.
He noted:
- Expansion of the city’s infrastructure

Push for Solar Energy and Sustainable Cities
Emphasizing sustainability, the Chief Minister spoke about expanding solar energy usage across the state.
He pointed out that Ayodhya has already been developed as a solar city, and similar efforts are underway in Lucknow to make it solar-equipped.

- Installation of LED street lights across municipal areas

Electric Bus Services Planned for Cities
Further strengthening green mobility, the government has announced plans to convert city bus services into electric systems.
