2012 batch IPS officer Nidhin Valsan, SP of North Goa, received the prestigious Chief Minister’s Police (Gold) Medal for meritorious service on Goa’s Liberation Day, which is observed every year on 19 December. Coincidentally, 19 December happens to be the officer’s birthday as well.
