Indian Revenue Service officer Ritesh Misra, who is presently Commissioner Income Tax Appeals in Surat, has posted on X (Twitter) about the magnanimity of his father who had donated land for the establishment of the Gopabandhu Science College. The officer expressed surprise as he was oblivious to this fact and got to know about the land donation only after coming across the certificate of recognition given to his father, Mr. Somanath Mishra, by the college on its golden jubilee year, 2013-14.
Posting a photo of this certificate, the IRS officer wrote that he is “still stunned at this gesture of magnanimity by my dad. This was before I as born and he never mentioned this and I did not know it until I was 44.”
