Deputy Collector Sanjay Kumar of Jharkhand shared a video on X of an elephant picking up a shoe and handing it over to a child who had dropped it accidentally.
In the video, the shoe drops into the elephant’s enclosure in a zoo form the child’s foot who was in his parent’s arms. The elephant picks the shoe up carefully with its trunk and gently hands it through the barricades to the child, who then takes it with his hand.
Goes to show why the elephant is called a ‘gentle giant’!
The beautiful video has gone viral and has garnered 12.1k views, 621 likes and 67 retweets so far.
