A 2019 batch IAS officer Dr Arjun Gowda from Madhya Pradesh cadre shared an honest suggestion for all the UPSC aspirants who are preparing for the competitive exam. In his tweet Mr. Gowda urged the aspirants to have a plan B and if they are preparing along with a job they should definitely do it.
His tweet read, “Honest suggestion for all the UPSC aspirants- 1) Have a Plan B for sure. ( My plan was to quit after 3 attempts and go for MS Orthopaedics ) 2) If you can prepare with a job, then you should do it. ( I was a full time doctor at Medical college).”
People reacting to his tweet suggested Plan B could be a passion one follows and job experience adds value to one’s profile. While there were others who felt Plan B will only be a hindrance and aspirants will not give 100% focus to UPSC preparation if they have a second base to fall on.
