In a unique initiative aimed at promoting voter awareness, IRS officer Dr. Chittaranjan Dhangada Majhi, currently serving as Additional Commissioner in the Revenue Department of the Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, has collaborated with the District Election Officer (DEO) of Thane district. Dr. Chittaranjan, known for his creative flair, has composed, written lyrics, and lent his voice to a captivating song for the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
The song, crafted with the support and cooperation of the DEO Thane district, aims to engage and educate voters about the importance of participating in the electoral process. Dr. Majhi’s innovative approach to voter awareness includes leveraging his musical talents alongside the expertise of popular Marathi music director duo, Chinar – Mahesh, who arranged the music for the composition.
Dr. Chittaranjan’s artistic journey began in his school days, where he penned poems for national events. While the pressure of his career initially dimmed this creative spark, his posting in Delhi in 2016 rekindled it. He embarked on a six-year journey of learning Hindustani classical music under the guidance of Guru Sri Shaliendra Goswami. “I told my Guru that I want to present something but he said that my voice is not ready for public. However, after one year my Guruij suggested that..” Now you are ready for public performance”,” Mr. Chittaranjan shared with Indian Masterminds.
