Hyderabad: In a gesture of goodwill and shared commitment to social service, members of the Telangana IAS Officers’ Wives Association (TG IASOWA) met with Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The meeting highlighted the association’s active engagement in community welfare and further deepened ties between the state’s top administrative families and the Raj Bhavan.

Warm Welcome and Recognition of Social Work

Governor Dev Varma, accompanied by the First Lady Sudha Dev Varma, welcomed the members of TG IASOWA with warmth and appreciation. During the interaction, the Governor lauded the association for its dedicated service to society, commending their numerous social initiatives that support underprivileged communities across Telangana.

He encouraged the members to continue their transformative contributions, stating that their work serves as an inspiration for others involved in social service and volunteerism.

Traditional Lunch Hosted by the Governor

To mark the occasion, the Governor hosted a traditional lunch in honour of the TG IASOWA members at Raj Bhavan. The informal setting allowed for cordial exchanges and strengthened personal connections, fostering greater collaboration between the association and the Governor’s office.

The interaction was graced by the presence of key state and Raj Bhavan officials, including

  • Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao
  • Principal Secretary to the Governor M Dana Kishore
  • Joint Secretary to the Governor J Bhavani Shankar

Their attendance underscored the importance of the association’s work and the continued support it receives from the state’s administrative leadership.

A Platform for Partnership in Public Service

The meeting reflected the evolving role of civil society groups like TG IASOWA in supplementing governmental efforts toward public welfare. By engaging in educational, health, and empowerment initiatives, the association has become a valuable ally in addressing social challenges in Telangana.
