Till Death Do Us Apart: Little Bird Chooses Death Over Separation From Its Love

In a heartrending video shared by senior IFS officer Susanta Nanda, a bird is seen stubbornly resisting any attempt to separate it from its dead mate, and finally dying by its side
Indian Masterminds Stories

A video has been breaking hearts ever since it was uploaded on social media. This sad video was shared by senior Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda on June 21 on Twitter, with the caption: “Love and Loyalty. If u have a heart, it will surely bleed at the end.”

The video has since gone viral, making people shed tears and feel gloomy because of its tragic ending. It shows a bird couple, very much in love. This can be understood from the fact that one of them stood by the other till the last breath of its life. One of the birds dies, and the mate is seen hugging it and refusing to let go of the body. Even when a human hand attempts to take the bird gently away, it stubbornly refuses to let go and chooses to stay by its side, kissing and hugging the body in its own ways.

The video ends on a tragic note with the bereaved bird ultimately giving up on life and choosing to die by the side of its beloved. In all probability, refusing to eat and drink, and deep sorrow caused by a broken heart, brought its death.

The heartrending scenes will leave anyone who watches them sad and depressed, and at the same time, ponder on what’s true love is like. It’s strange that it took two inseparable birds to teach us, humans, the true meaning of love and understand the deep meaning behind those words: ‘In sickness or in health… ’
The eternal love story with a tragic end has been brought to life by a ‘bird couple’ who firmly believed in ‘till death do us apart…’

May their souls rest in love and peace.
