Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ekta Nagar in Kevadia, Gujarat, on October 30 and 31 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure and development projects worth over Rs. 1,140 crore. Key initiatives include the Birsa Munda Tribal University, first phase of the Hospitality District at Garudeshwar, e-bus charging depot, Satpuda protection wall, Narmada Ghat extension, Kaushalya Path, and the second phase of the Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan walkway.
Upcoming Projects to Boost Tourism and Mobility
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones for future projects such as the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India, Veer Balak Udyan, sports complex, rainforest project, Shoolpaneshwar Ghat jetty development, and travelators at the Statue of Unity. These projects aim to enhance tourism capacity, improve accessibility, and promote sustainable mobility in Ekta Nagar.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Celebrations at Kevadia
On October 31, Modi will participate in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas events at the Statue of Unity, offering floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, administering the unity pledge, and witnessing the parade showcasing “Unity in Diversity.” The parade will feature central armed police forces, state police units, cultural performances, and tableaux from across India.
Engaging with the Next Generation of Civil Servants
Prime Minister Modi will also interact with Officer Trainees of the 100th Foundation Course at the conclusion of Aarambh 7.0. The training program focuses on “Reimagining Governance” and includes 660 Officer Trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three from Bhutan.
Special Commemorations
As part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Modi will release a commemorative coin of Rs. 150 and a postal stamp.
