Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren will distribute appointment letters to nearly 10,000 candidates for various government positions on November 29. The large-scale employment drive will coincide with the completion of one year of the state government’s second term, marking a key milestone in Jharkhand’s journey of inclusive growth and administrative expansion.
The event will also mark the culmination of the state’s flagship public outreach initiative, ‘Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar’, which is scheduled to commence on November 18.
Grand Distribution Ceremony in Ranchi
The main event will be held in Ranchi, where around 8,000 newly recruited Assistant Teachers will receive their appointment letters. The programme, earlier planned for November 6 in Seraikela, has been rescheduled to coincide with the state-wide culmination ceremony on November 29.
According to senior officials, this distribution aims to strengthen the state’s educational infrastructure and address the long-standing shortage of teachers in primary and secondary schools.
Employment Across Key Departments
In addition to Assistant Teachers, appointment letters are likely to be distributed to 342 candidates selected through the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Civil Services Examination. Dental surgeons and candidates from departments such as Personnel, Industry, and Health are also expected to receive their appointments, reflecting the government’s commitment to filling crucial vacancies across sectors.
Strengthening the Education System
The large number of teaching positions includes both intermediate-trained and graduate-trained Assistant Teachers from all districts of Jharkhand. The appointments are divided as follows:
- 414 graduate-trained candidates for Mathematics and Science
- 813 for Language
- 2,718 for Social Science
- 4,263 intermediate-trained teachers for Classes 1 to 5
In previous phases, the government has already distributed appointment letters to 1,218 Assistant Teachers, including 1,040 graduate-trained and 170 intermediate-trained educators. Those selected under the revised Assistant Teacher examination will also receive their letters after the completion of counselling and certificate verification.
Governance, Growth, and Opportunity
Officials emphasized that the mass appointment initiative not only aims to fill critical government vacancies but also strengthens the foundation of good governance and public service delivery. The move underscores the state government’s proactive approach to human resource development, particularly in the education and health sectors.
The event on November 29 is expected to stand as a testament to the Soren government’s resolve to empower youth, expand employment opportunities, and enhance administrative efficiency across Jharkhand.
