In a landmark welfare initiative timed perfectly with the festive seasons of Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Jharkhand government under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren has transferred Rs. 97 crore 10 lakh 15 thousand directly to the bank accounts of 3,88,406 women beneficiaries of Ranchi district under the Chief Minister Maiyya Samman Yojana. Each beneficiary received Rs. 2,500 as honorarium for the month of October through Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), marking a transparent and timely distribution of funds.

Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Ranchi, highlighted that the Chief Minister Maiyya Samman Yojana stands as a testament to the state government’s commitment to women’s respect and empowerment. The scheme’s benefits have permeated nearly every block and urban area of Ranchi district. Key areas receiving substantial support include 31,828 women in Kanke, 23,395 in Mandar, 21,754 in Sadar urban area, 21,382 in Silli, and 20,797 in Beddo. Thousands more women from other blocks such as Angada, Budhmu, Nagdi, Namkum, Ormanjhi, Ratu, and Tamar have also received timely honorarium payments, demonstrating the extensive reach of this government initiative.

The district administration has ensured strict adherence to transparency by utilizing Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfer for disbursing funds.
