To mark the first anniversary of his second term, Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren organized a grand state-level event at Morabadi Ground, highlighting the government’s focus on youth employment. The program showcased the administration’s commitment to secure the future of Jharkhand’s youth by distributing government appointment letters to thousands of newly recruited candidates.
Massive Employment Drive Despite Challenges
Mr. Soren emphasized that creating job opportunities remains a priority of his administration. Despite repeated opposition attempts to stall recruitment through petitions and protests, the government completed the process transparently and efficiently. The event sent a strong message about the state’s dedication to employment generation, promising that appointments to thousands more posts will continue in the future.
Promoting Women’s Participation in Governance and Education
A key highlight of the event was the increasing participation of women in governance and education. Forty percent of assistant professor appointments and thirty percent of civil service officer positions were awarded to women. Many of these successful female candidates prepared for competitive exams with the support of the “Maiyaan Samman Yojana,” reflecting the government’s efforts to promote women’s empowerment across the state.
Advancing Education and Skill Development Infrastructure
Mr. Soren underlined that the government’s development agenda extends beyond employment. Over the past year, 80 schools of excellence, 10 degree colleges, 8 nursing colleges, and 6 medical and engineering colleges have been established across Jharkhand. These institutions aim to transform the state into a hub of knowledge, skill development, and career opportunities for youth.
Motivational Guidance for Newly Appointed Employees
During the ceremony, Mr. Soren encouraged the newly appointed candidates to mentor at least one young person in each district they visit, fostering future leaders, teachers, and administrators. This initiative is designed to enhance social development and inspire youth across the state to pursue public service careers.
8,792 Candidates Receive Government Appointments
A total of 8,792 candidates received appointment letters at the event, including 8,291 assistant professors. Additionally, 22 dependents of martyred and deceased police officers were offered government jobs, highlighting the government’s commitment to welfare and inclusive employment opportunities. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the public, reaffirming the administration’s dedication to Jharkhand’s growth and youth empowerment.
