On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Chief Minister Mr. Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the historic Gurdwara in Arera Colony to pay his respects. The Chief Minister participated in the Shabad Kirtan (Guruvani) and shared Guruparv greetings with the community. His visit also marked an important moment for the state as he acknowledged the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and extended blessings for the welfare of the people of Madhya Pradesh.

Announcing Major Celebrations for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Birth Anniversary
In line with the Sikh community’s wishes, the Chief Minister made an important announcement regarding the upcoming celebrations for the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The Madhya Pradesh government will commemorate this significant occasion with great enthusiasm, honoring the Guru’s commitment to truth and his relentless fight for religious freedom. The state plans to host events that will reflect the reverence and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The Significance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Life and Teachings
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav shared that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of peace, devotion, and social equality is as important today as it was in the 15th century. Guru Nanak, who traveled extensively across India and abroad, spread his message of love, compassion, and the oneness of God. He also stressed the importance of charity, humility, and brotherhood, with the tradition of langar standing as one of his most significant legacies.
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life is a roadmap for a harmonious society. He underscored that the core values of Sikhism—unity, equality, and service to humanity—remain vital in today’s world, especially in overcoming social divisions.

The Chief Minister participated in a special Diwan Sabha (congregation) at the Gurudwara, joining the Sikh community in chanting Shabad Kirtan and receiving the blessings of Shri Satnam Waheguru Ji. During the session, CM Dr. Yadav spoke about how the Shabad continues to inspire devotion, peace, and unity within the society.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Shri Ravindra Yati, Shri Rahul Kothari, President of the Gurudwara Management Committee Shri Baljinder Singh, and many other public representatives. Sikh community volunteers and devotees were present in large numbers, adding to the festive spirit.
