Announcing Major Celebrations for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Birth Anniversary

In line with the Sikh community’s wishes, the Chief Minister made an important announcement regarding the upcoming celebrations for the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The Madhya Pradesh government will commemorate this significant occasion with great enthusiasm, honoring the Guru’s commitment to truth and his relentless fight for religious freedom. The state plans to host events that will reflect the reverence and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

The Significance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Life and Teachings

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav shared that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of peace, devotion, and social equality is as important today as it was in the 15th century. Guru Nanak, who traveled extensively across India and abroad, spread his message of love, compassion, and the oneness of God. He also stressed the importance of charity, humility, and brotherhood, with the tradition of langar standing as one of his most significant legacies.

Addressing the gathering, CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life is a roadmap for a harmonious society. He underscored that the core values of Sikhism—unity, equality, and service to humanity—remain vital in today’s world, especially in overcoming social divisions.

Aligning Governance with Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Values

Echoing the spirit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s philosophy, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that his government’s vision is built on the pillars of public welfare and social equality. “Our government is committed to ensuring every citizen’s welfare, just as Guru Nanak Ji taught us the importance of serving humanity. We are working tirelessly to provide basic services such as education, healthcare, food security, and employment to every individual in Madhya Pradesh,” he stated.

He further emphasized that the government’s development policies are aligned with Guru Nanak’s teachings, which encourage selfless service, compassion, and respect for all individuals, regardless of caste, creed, or religion.

Celebrating Unity and Brotherhood Through Shabad Kirtan

The Chief Minister participated in a special Diwan Sabha (congregation) at the Gurudwara, joining the Sikh community in chanting Shabad Kirtan and receiving the blessings of Shri Satnam Waheguru Ji. During the session, CM Dr. Yadav spoke about how the Shabad continues to inspire devotion, peace, and unity within the society.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Shri Ravindra Yati, Shri Rahul Kothari, President of the Gurudwara Management Committee Shri Baljinder Singh, and many other public representatives. Sikh community volunteers and devotees were present in large numbers, adding to the festive spirit.

Welcoming the Chief Minister and Honoring His Visit

Before the commencement of the Shabad Kirtan, the Sikh devotees gave Chief Minister Dr. Yadav a warm welcome at the Gurudwara, where he was honored with a saropa (traditional cloth honoring the guest). This gesture underscored the deep respect the Sikh community holds for the Chief Minister’s ongoing efforts to promote peace, unity, and religious harmony in Madhya Pradesh.

Moving Forward with Service and Equality

Concluding his visit, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his heartfelt wishes for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Madhya Pradesh, calling for the state to remain united in pursuit of justice and progress. “May the blessings of Waheguru Ji guide us all to serve with love and kindness. Let us continue to work together to create a society where everyone lives with dignity and equality,” he said.
