Bhopal: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, today inaugurated the ‘Samadhan Yojana 2025-26’ under the Energy Department at the Regional Office of MP Power Management Company, Bhopal. The initiative is aimed at providing relief to nearly 90 lakh electricity consumers across the state, with the government waiving Rs 3,000 crore in surcharges.

This development forms part of the state government’s broader development model, focused on enhancing transparency, consumer welfare, and sustainable energy growth. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is moving towards 100% renewable energy consumption by 2030, reinforcing the state’s commitment to clean energy.

The scheme is designed to assist consumers with outstanding electricity bills by offering:

  • Maximum discounts on lump-sum payments
  • Flexible installment options, allowing repayment in up to six installments

Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted that the initiative benefits domestic, agricultural, and industrial consumers, ensuring inclusive access to electricity relief for all. Focus on Affordable and Renewable Energy

The Chief Minister praised Madhya Pradesh’s energy policy, highlighting that the state currently provides some of the most affordable electricity rates in India. He noted that the government is working to ensure access to electricity for all, guided by the principles of light for everyone and progress for all.

He emphasized that these efforts are part of the government’s long-term vision to enhance sustainable energy consumption and strengthen the state’s power infrastructure.

Commitment to Consumer Welfare and Sustainable Growth
