Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that Uttarakhand is moving ahead with the resolve to become a leader in every sector, guided by the vision of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Highlighting the Prime Minister’s call for “One District, One Festival,” he said that traditional fairs across the state will now gain national and international prominence, strengthening Uttarakhand’s cultural branding.

Fee Waiver to Promote Local Entrepreneurs and Artisans
In a major announcement, the Chief Minister declared that the fees for stalls displaying local products at the state pavilion during the International Trade Fair will be completely waived. This step is expected to encourage artisans, weavers, and local entrepreneurs by reducing their financial burden and enabling wider exposure for their products.
Uttarakhand Day Celebrations Bring Culture to the Global Stage
Speaking at the Uttarakhand Day celebrations at the Uttarakhand Pavilion during the 44th India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the Chief Minister emphasized that the event provides a global platform to showcase the state’s heritage, handicrafts, traditional art forms, and vibrant culture. Cultural evenings at the pavilion offer visitors a glimpse into Uttarakhand’s traditions, music, and folk identity.
Infrastructure Development Fueling a Progressive Uttarakhand
Mr. Dhami reiterated that the state government is making dedicated efforts to strengthen infrastructure across key sectors such as education, healthcare, roads, sports, drinking water, and air connectivity. These developmental initiatives aim to transform Uttarakhand into a leading state in terms of governance, sustainability, and citizen welfare.
Driving Economic Growth Through National Campaigns
The Chief Minister highlighted that major national campaigns like Vocal for Local, Made in India, and Start-Up India are accelerating Uttarakhand’s journey towards a developed economy. The government is also committed to establishing Devbhoomi Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of the world, leveraging its rich heritage and global appeal.
Strong Business Response at the Trade Fair
Expressing satisfaction, Mr. Dhami announced that handloom weavers and local product manufacturers at the state pavilion have generated business worth one crore rupees and secured additional orders worth 2.50 crore rupees. He expressed confidence that total sales will surpass 2.50 crore rupees.
The event was also attended by Member of Parliament Ms. Rajya Laxmi Shah, Rajya Sabha Member Mr. Naresh Bansal, former Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Bahuguna, and other dignitaries.
