A DGP In Hot Pursuit of Creative Arts and Nature

Retired IPS officer Anil Raturi is a well-known name in bureaucratic circles. Known as one of most honest and efficient officers, the 1987-batch officer of UP cadre retired as the DGP of Uttarakhand after serving for more than three years in this post. He served in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Pilibhit and Meerut. After the partition, he came to Uttarakhand, which also happens to be his native place.

Other than leaving his legacy in policing, he has also created a name for himself in various creative fields, including literature and folk singing. Recently, his book, Bhanwar: Ek Prem Kahani, was published and is receiving good reviews.

In an exclusive interview to Indian Masterminds, Mr. Raturi talked about his book, his love for and connection with nature, and also shared his experiences as a police officer.
