Suraj’s success story is extraordinarily special. After losing both his legs, his right arm and two fingers from his left arm, in a horrible accident, Suraj had almost lost hope in life. However, he didn’t give up and after a failed attempt, joined JNU Campus in New Delhi. Here he was introduced to the world of civil services by his friends who were preparing for the same.
He made up his mind to become an IAS officer and bring pride to his town and family. After struggling to learn how to write and do basic chores, he finally held the reins of his life and prepared diligently for the UPSC CSE examination. His efforts bore fruits and he cracked the exam with AIR-917 and secured the second position in the PH category of IAS.
