On February 20th, the aspirations of twenty one1993-batch IAS officers saw the light of day when the Cabinet Appointments Committee approved the promotion of these officers to secretary rank following decades of service in the bureaucracy. These IAS officers were mandated to assume their new office as secretaries or officers of equivalent rank.
The list of the appointees features the names of many, including Prabhat Kumar Mishra (West Bengal cadre), who serves as the Principle Secretary (additional charge) to the Government of West Bengal.
Other appointed IAS officers are Mr. Sandeep Pondrik (Bihar Cadre), Mr. Amit Agrawal (Chhattisgarh Cadre), Mr. Kamlesh Kumar Pant (HP Cadre), Ms. Deepti Umashankar and Mr. V. Umashankar (Haryana Cadre), Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, (Maharastra Cadre), Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee (MP Cadre), Mr. Amardeep Singh Bhatia (Nagaland Cadre), Mr. Ashok Kumar Kaluaram Meena (Odisha Cadre), Mr. Nikunja Bihari Dhal (Odisha Cadre), Mr. Tanmay Kumar (Rajasthan Cadre), Mr. Dheeraj Kumar (Tamil Nadu Cadre), Mr. Sunil Paliwal (Tamil Nadu Cadre), Mr. Nagaraju Maddirala (Tripura Cadre), Mr. Punya Salila Srivastava and Mr. Vikram Dev Dutt (UT Cadre), Mr. Prabhat Kumar Mishra, (West Bengal Cadre), Mr. Sanjay Sethi, (Maharashtra Cadre), Ms. Neerja Sekhar and Ms. Sukriti Likhi (Haryana Cadre), and Mr. Surendra Kumar Bagde (Maharashtra Cadre).
