Amidst a recent development, Mr. Yogesh Mhase (2009 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer) assumed the role of Commissioner for the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), succeeding Mr. Rahul Mahiwal (2005 batch IAS officer). Officer Mhase had earlier served as the district collector for Raigad District, where he dealt with the Irshalwadi landslide disaster.
