New Delhi: Following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of External Affairs held a joint press briefing on Wednesday to share key details of the precision strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In a strong and unequivocal message, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh issued a direct warning to Pakistan, asserting that India is fully prepared to respond to any provocation.

The operation, which targeted and dismantled nine terror camps, was conducted between 1:05 and 1:30 a.m. on the night of May 6–7, in retaliation for the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that claimed the lives of 25 Indian civilians and one Nepali citizen.

Speaking at the briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the strikes were based on credible intelligence inputs and were necessary to preempt further planned attacks against India. “India has exercised its right to respond, prevent, and resist cross-border terrorism. The action was measured, proportionate, and non-provocative,” Misri stated.

Colonel Sofia Qureshi of the Indian Army followed with an operational overview of Operation Sindoor, confirming that nine terror camps had been destroyed. She highlighted that these camps were long-standing hubs for recruitment, training, and logistical planning for cross-border terrorism, and noted that no civilian or military infrastructure was targeted beyond terrorist facilities.

As the press conference concluded, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh issued a firm caution to Islamabad. “We are fully prepared to deal with any kind of response from Pakistan,” she said. “If Pakistan chooses to take any provocative action in the future, the Indian Armed Forces are ready and capable of responding appropriately.”

Her statement signals a clear stance from India: while the nation continues to act with restraint and responsibility, it will not hesitate to defend its people and sovereignty with decisive force.

The Indian government has reiterated that the goal of Operation Sindoor was justice, deterrence, and dismantling the ecosystem of terrorism that has been nurtured across the border for decades.

A more detailed briefing is expected to follow later today, with further insights into the tactical planning, execution, and intelligence coordination behind the operation.
